As you know Popeye my favourite Naval fighter is the Tomcat so here we go. I hope you enjoy these, let me know if you would like more.
I hope @bdpopeye doesn't take offense.
Thank you for your patience @bdpopeye . I think you are right, and probably the cost of removing such "tags" would be high now. But the habit, in my opinion, is interesting and humorous, and I could not resist the temptation to share it.No offense taken. One thing nowadays it is nearly impossible for a aircraft to land on the wrong ship. Much better communications nowadays....I'm not sure the tagging still takes place when visitors come aboard.
We used to put a sqn sticker on a visitor, in the wheelbay or similar, just to let them know we had looked after their jet.Thank you for your patience @bdpopeye . I think you are right, and probably the cost of removing such "tags" would be high now. But the habit, in my opinion, is interesting and humorous, and I could not resist the temptation to share it.

Still very much alive in the Royal Australian Navy, took part in many a tagging of sister ships and visitors alike. Sister ships usually got plastered with our ships crests, visiting navies wherever in the world got kangaroos spray painted on the hullsThank you for your patience @bdpopeye .
