Photos United States Navy

Thanks for posting those old photos of the carriers. I remember the USS Midway while I was with USS Belleau Woods, USS Ogden, and USS Duluth. West Pac 87" and 89". It was good port calls thru the Pacific.

You served aboard USS Odgen?! Great ship with a great nickname..well it was in 1975. They called her "Augie doggie"..after this cartoon character;

Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy are Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters who debuted on The Quick Draw McGraw Show and appeared in their own segment. The segments centered around the misadventures of a dachshund father-and-son team. Doggie Daddy tried to do the best he could at raising his rambunctious son Augie.

This pic is wonderful. Does anyone know what the signal flags are saying?

I agree. It took a huge toll on the mechanics. I don't know what took the most hours on the aircraft. Engine or Avionics?
