Les Norton on the ABC. The books were required reading in the Royal Australian Regiment in the 90s. Some of the boys in the Battalion would have only ever read Les Norton books...
It's on the ABC on Sunday nights, no doubt it's on abc iview too.
Just finished The Boys I give it marginal thumbs up, definitely not the enthusiastic 9.0 that I've seen. The premise is great, but the writing could have been tighter with some early episodes seem outright boring. However, the last 2 episodes, and the superb acting by Anthony Starr are the saving grace of this TV show.
Honestly, mostly political talk shows and evening news. It seems like the "entertainment segment" is run by a completely different set of folks. I would say that the vast majority of the Russian TV shows that I've seen are very critical of the Russian society and do expose harsh Russian history. However, the main channel Russia 1 is like Lifetime Movie Network (I.e. Television for Women) here in the States. Channel 1 and NTV are more edgy for sure.
P.S. I've read Russian Ministry of Defense will open its own studio to produce "patriotic" TV content to counter Western influences on other Russian channels. Russian MoD already has its own Federal TV channel, Zvezda, aka "Star"
Noticed their later Seasons are up and down at the beginning but after their Halloween episode is when they pick back up again. Boyle, Gina and Holts weirdness makes the show awesome
Finished season 2 of Mindhunter. Really good. Looking forward to season 3, a couple teaser scenes make it look like it's gonna be pretty freaky.
The seemingly obligatory sublot of a gay/lesbian relationship was a bit tedious, but I guess it's to be expected in everything nowadays.
Same here done with Season 2 of Mindhunter, I really enjoyed the series. The character of Edmund Kemper is the scariest one. The way he narrates how he kill those girls is scarier than shitty Annabelle
