Photos Southern, Central & Northern African Military Photos

Yesterday I took a some photos of this CASA CN-235-220MPA at Dijon Bourgogne airport, ex-BA-102. It's a Senegalese air force aircraft 🇸🇳, currently on a trip via Seville and Dijon and today Warsaw. It seems to have had problems (technical?) because on June 2, during its flight to Warsaw, it was diverted and returned to Dijon. It stayed there until the 6th and I photographed it at around 11am, just before it left for Warsaw.

It arrived safely, as a photo were taken of it on arrival.

It's strange, when I download an image on Mi.net, its quality goes down (a bit blurrier). (I'm not talking here about the 1000p. size adjustment)

What is mean February 17th?

The First Libyan Civil War was an armed conflict in 2011 in the North African country of Libya that was fought between forces loyal to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi and rebel groups that were seeking to oust his government. It erupted with the Libyan Revolution, also known as the 17 February

Libyan Revolution Day, which is held annually on February 17, is a significant national holiday commemorating the 2011 revolt against the Libyan authoritarian dictator and revolutionist, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.

Well, also learned something new today.

A Chengdu FT-7NI trainer jet (license-built version of the Soviet Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21) belonging to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) crashed in Makurdi, Benue State while on a routine training exercise on Friday.

NAF spokesperson Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet confirmed the incident in a statement.

Gabkwet said no loss of lives or damage to any property around the area of impact.

He said two pilots onboard the aircraft survived and were being observed at NAF Base Hospital, Makurdi.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has constituted a Board of Inquiry to determine the immediate and remote cause of the crash.

Former Taiwanese Hai Ou-class missile patrol boats, a locally manufactured variant of the Israeli Dvora class.
According to Wikipedia (ahem ) "Four units (ex-ROCN/Taiwan Navy FABG-7, FABG-11, FABG-29 and FABG-32) received from Taiwan in 2009 as patrol gunboats. All 4 were originally slated for Republic of Malawi in 2008."
