Is the West Really Pursuing Peace?

I often wonder if the United States and the West, particularly the European Union, genuinely want peace. The ongoing conflict has become a testing ground for the latest military technologies—surface-to-air missiles, anti-tank missiles, electronic warfare countermeasures, drones, and more. It seems like a real-world sandbox for refining these weapons, potentially for future conflicts with our only real adversary, China.

Of course not. Why do you think we caused this war?

We have several interests

1. Test our weapons in real combat to see if the huge stockpiles of modern weapons we produced the last decades work. So we can finally assault peaceful Russia just doing it's thing there since 500 years.

2. Discredit Russia

3. Finally get a reason to sanction them

4. We had enough of the cheap gas and oil

5. Don't know what to do with all our money so we made Russia assault Ukraine to denazify it. That's why we made the Ukrainian Nazis first.

6. We want Russia to be gay and trans that's what we need all the weapons for.

Hope I got all points.

Need to add a banking conspiracy, the Trilateral Commission, aliens and the Owl people.

And of course you know who has to get blamed as well. c'mon they get blamed every time for everything. It's traditional. That's right you got it.

Those are good for waving heroically... or executing deserters. I had one of their predecessors - the Nagant revolver, which was essentially worthless. At 5 paces, the bullet would barely bury itself in a pine 2X4.

The United States, under the Democrats (Biden), wanted perpetual war. Ukraine was viewed as a means to weaken Russia long-term.
Putin's invasion was the greatest gift for the warmongering Neo-Conservatives, who are in bed with cold war relic Biden.

Why do you think Biden only gave Ukraine certain weapons a certain times?.....always predicated on the ebb and flow of the war? Meanwhile Zelensky was insistently begging like a homeless man for weapons and support.
As the saying goes, the US and Russia will fight “to the last Ukrainian".

I don't think Biden's strategy of dripping in supplies was intentional. Not sure there was a strategy as such. Also dripping in supplies by weapon class rather than grouping supplies to enable an entire formation was a mistake. Again, I don't think intentional.

But at this point the only one who doesn't want peace is Putin. There is a deal to be had where he gets more than he deserves. But he doesn't want it.

Sadly, many actors want the war to continue, perpetually.

Indeed. Here in Finland we are especially thrilled to donate our cold war era Soviet made artillery systems to gain new experiences for our future war with China. We haven't decided yet, if we are going through Russia or around it. </sarcasm>
