Trying to get into Putin's head here. He needs this war to end, but he also needs to show how strong he is to his people and how this whole disaster was worth doing. I'm not sure how long that will take or what he needs to do, but I'm certain he needs to get there.

Interesting that they knocked it down after all this time. Dropping the Crimea bridge would certainly send a message.

Yeah, if Germany finally sent Taurus ...

But it wouldn't surprise me if that were to come with a No-Crimean-Bridge clause because that would be like majorly escalatory©

It would certainly be provocative at this precise moment in time.

Russians capture a newer BMC Kirpi II MRAP from Ukrainians in Suzdha. It seems that Turks increased weight on support to Ukraine.

It's so nice to see how the ruZZians want to turn every piece of equipment they get their hands on from the Ukrainians into a world event...

How many vehicles has Ukraine captured from the ruZZians and been fighting their former owners with for months? 50% of their present army?

Agree, I’d expect a public spat with trump, then kiss and make up. I still think its all a done deal.

Russia keeps crimea, actually gives back some or all of Donbas etc to get ukr agreement on crimea.

The threat of nato troops in ukr will be negotiated away, ukr will be well armed instead.

This is about the size of it. It could be somewhat worse. I think the Russians will want Mariupol to the Dniepr as the land bridge to Crimea.

What actual ethnic line exists? Lets not repeat if there is one it should be along those lines.

If Ukraine can get the land bridge to Crimea, that would be a big get.

Now Russya even increased its threat as Trump said he won't abide to article 5 or so they understood. Thats why we need nuclear arms asap to keep the eastern ape kingdom in check.

I don't think it will be that straight forward.

Thats assuming Russia had a cohesive plan based on real necessities.

Which it clearly didn't have.

I think that just the heated up war economy prevents Putler from agreeing to a ceasefire.

So far I only see delays and other non comitting actions like questioning every detail if its just needed to accept a temporary ceasefire.

The Russian regime is made out of gangsters remember that.

I will make a bet that Russia only agrees to the ceasfire by demanding the impossible and then walking away accusing Ukraine.

Putin likes the "idea" of a ceasfire but he wants Ukraines troops in Kursk to capitulate instantly with the ceasefire.

Some voices..

At a press conference, Russia's President Vladimir Putin says he agrees to a cessation of hostilities, but sets conditions. For example, it must be clarified before a ceasefire whether the Ukrainian soldiers in Kursk will lay down their weapons and surrender. In addition, a ceasefire must "lead to lasting peace and address the underlying causes of this crisis", says Putin. Russia does not see these causes in its war of aggression, but in Ukraine's ability to defend itself and maintain its existence. Putin is still not backing away from the Kremlin's maximum demands, which have been formulated for over three years and would very likely mean the end of Ukraine. The reactions on the platforms

If Putin wants Zaprorizhzhia region, Kherson region and Odessa...like they have already officially annexed and put on their map, things might get hairy and this will put the Trump administration to the test.

Putin never had a problem with peace on his terms, neither did Ukraine on theirs. The tough part of getting a mutual peace agreement is having leverage on both sides.
