We got ABM system around Moscow. 5 sites with 12-16 interceptors each. Nuclear warheaded. Launched at the same time SLBMs will come in group right? As I understand one nuclear blast will be enough to neutralize most of them. One doesn't need same amount of interceptors. At the same time you got nothing to protect London and Paris.

In short, nuclear warehead interceptors are not an ideal interceptor. In an ABM scenario, the interception must happen Exo-Atmospheric before RVs dive into the terminal phase. Nuclear warheads just generate a fabulous firework there, cannot guarantee the kill (only generate the heat and light, and heat doesn't transfer effectively, you don't have shockwave in Exo-atmospheric.

An endo-atmospheric interception with nuke warheads is also troublesome, the fast diving RVs' terminal speed are too high for interceptors. Even with a timed explosion, the high altitude nuke explosion will disrupt the sensors on ground, make the following interception impossible.

Best way to beat it, is to saturate. So either first wave will be dummies, or all real, and your capital gets turned into sand, rather than ruble.
