Peyman and Payam Kia allegedly worked together to pass information to Russian military intelligence for over a decade, with Peyman working for secret Swedish spy agency at the time
No and to me it was pretty obvious that it didn't even without checking.
There have been a fair number of instances where Ukraine achieved something and then Russia claimed to have done something (almost) identical mere hours/days later.
What I personally think the goal is whenever this happens is to obfuscate the truth to the domestic audience in Russia both online and in public discourse. Russians entering something like "Ukraine 600 dead" in a search engine will be pointed to stories about a Russian strike killing 600 Ukrainians, not the other way around. Especially given restrictions on the internet in Russia.
The same goes for chat and face to face conversations. "Did you hear about the massive strike in Ukraine?" which due to government propaganda in many people's minds will be nationality-swapped from Russian to Ukrainian sooner or later. Most Russians get their news from government operated media and don't want to hear their narrative being challenged.
The German Green Party leader and Minister of Economy, Robert Habeck, publicly rebuked his Social Democratic coalition partners today, saying that "of course we do not rule out donating Leopard to Ukraine". He added that the decision to donate Marder infantry fighting vehicles had been "way overdue". (Source, in German) — The SPD is really something. Imagine being so out there that a party carrying its pacifist ideals in its name thinks you should get a grip and send tanks to Ukraine.
