Recruits are walking on a snowy plateau. (Photo/chinadaily.com.cn)

Thousands of new recruits received training on a snowy plateau in Northwest China's Gansu Province.

They are wearing sneakers!! If it is really -23 °C ?

You can walk around in good sneakers and thick wool socks under such circumstances (in a city) but you are not going to perform real field training with them especially not for days. The first ditch fills your shoes with snow additionally they have no good grip...having wet feet at -23 °C is a no go.

One of the very rare times I've seen PLAN doing RASing but the slack in those fuel lines doesn't fill me with confidence that they are actually conducting a fuelling although it could also just be a practice UNREP

I knew you'd make that post. :D..This is the first time I've ever seen the PLAN actually pumping fuel during an RAS. And I've NEVER seen an RAS or VERTREP with her carriers. Never.

Humm?? I bet these here Chinese mates can't go on liberty in Ermita/Malate district and Makati..... Those Chinese mates have to go on liberty in groups with a political officer. No drinkin' or extra curricular activities....

Why did they even waste time unloading supplies with their military images, by the type it arrives to the victims of the disaster it would have been repacked with images of the next election candidates.
