found no info about siam battalion , but did found about pridi ( https://rev.org.vn/tinh-ban-thoi-di-hoc/ ( interest this web is a web belong to radio-communication group in Vietnam , first part talk about pridi and second part talk about china ( the author friend was owner of one of biggest telecommunication part production/research company in china , the author study in china in the 50-60s and his friend later after china open market open a company which product telecom part and other thing one of the biggest in china ) about pridi he was friend of one of Vietminh leader they both study in French , that why pridi did support Vietnam with some weapon but not sure how much ( the guy say pridi provide army officer protection for the weapon to Bangkok harbor ( so 1 ship load ) pridi also look away at Vietnam training base ( with total in 6 training base ) on thai soil , Thailand have a huge Vietnamese community ( heck one of the thai king is half Vietnamese-Chinese if I remember correct ) that why a lot of Vietnamese leader spend time in Thailand , ho chi minh spend quite a lot of time in Thailand in Vietnamese community when the French was hunting him befor he went to china ( there are movie about his time in Thailand made by Vietnam ) , Thailand like safe haven for Vietnamese communist and nationalist when the French was hunting them and with a huge Vietnamese community it a perfect place to hide beside southern china. well the military junta really screw up Vietnam relation with Thailand during cold war period it only in the late 90s that Vietnam and thai relation become better

Here we have the seven young "American-killing heroes", the title awarded by the North Vietnamese government who had shown exceptional bravery and had a good record of killing Americans (South Vietnamese troops did not count).

All of these present here, with the exception of Ho and his aide (the old man in black), were under 16 years old with some as young as 7 or 8 and each supposedly killed at least one American. The one on the far left was a sapper who was credited with destroying a landing helicopter by crawling close to the helipad and threw a satchel charge onto it. The one with the eye patch was awarded the title for rigging up a daisy-chained IED that killed 14 American troops during an assault. He was only 14. The only girl was also 14 when she was awarded the title for participating in numerous ambushes against American troops.

There is no record of how many children were rewarded the title, nor how many underaged children served with the VC and later the PAVN. Many of them would fight child soldiers employed by the ARVN in bitter fighting in 1968 and 1972.
