USN:
October 1919, Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. A number of obsolete pre-dreadnought battleships and cruisers lie mothballed after the Great War, waiting to be dismantled or converted into target ships.
RN:
24 May 2004. Her Majesty's Ship Invincible (R05) arrives in Jacksonville, Fla., for a five-day port visit before continuing on to Norfolk, Va., and New York city. Invincible, is the sixth ship of the Royal Navy to bear the name and the first of the Invincible-class of Anti-Submarine Warfare Carriers.
On the right is the old Sardegna, a Re Umberto-class ironclad, that would meet her end in that same year. In the middle is Nino Bixio-class scout Nino Bixio with Italia on the left
Torpedo boat Procione during her short career.
Commissioned on 31 March 1938, scuttled by her crew on 9 September 1943. Apart from plenty of escort work, she notably participated in the Battle of Skerki Bank, suffering severe damage and three killed aboard.

03 September 1913, Barrow-in-Furness, United Kingdom. Ottoman dreadnought-type battleship Reşadiye is launched. She will be seized by Royal Navy upon completion and renamed Erin.
