Hi

Can someone please help me with correct British Military "L" series numbers for the following weapons:

7.65mm Walther PPK
9mm SiG-Sauer P226 L107?
9mm SiG-Sauer P228 L108?
9mm SiG-Sauer P229 L109?
9mm Heckler & Koch MP5A3
9mm Heckler & Koch MP5K
5.56mm Heckler & Koch HK53 L101A1?
5.56mm Para Minimi L110A1
7.62mm Heckler & Koch G3A3
7.62mm Heckler & Koch G3A4
7.62mm Heckler & Koch G3KA4
.338 Lapua Magnum Long Range Rifle L115A1
.50 cal Barrett M82A1
.50 cal Browning M2HB HMG L1A1

Clearly some of these weapons are in reatively small-scale service with SF units, but as far as I am aware, all have "L" series numbers allocated. I have established the ones marked in red, the SiGs especially are not confirmed..

I believe you have the .50 Browning MG mislabeled. The L1A1 is the British version of the Belgian FN FAL.

Yes, I was misinformed there - the .50cal BMG is in fact the L30A1, however it is not altogether unknown to find duplications like that.

There are quite a few L1A1s within British service.

Update

P226 - L05A1
P228 - L107A1
MP5A3 - L92A1
MP5k - L80A1 or L90A1 (the newer one, can't remember the difference as far as H&K goes)
HK53 - L101A1
Para Minimi L110A1
7.62mm Heckler & Koch G3KA4 - L100A1
.338 LRR - L115A1
.50 - L30A1
Barrett .50 - L82A1
