So, seems like the charge placed on the tank was meant to disable the counter-measure system.

That's what I get from looking at the pictures, at least.

Dude literally placed a large explosive charge right next to a vulnerable subsystem, then ran away.

And, to some extent, who could blame them? The consequences of being right, or wrong, are immense. And who can tell if they made the right choice at the moment they made it? We all make choices thinking they were the right ones.
Imo the problem with the US foreign policy is that there aren't any real consequences for the individuals or their party. And that's not just a US problem.

What if Bush and Blair had been sent to the ICC for the war in Iraq? The junta of Myanmar for slaughtering minorities. MBS for Yemen. Assad for using chemical weapons. Obama for indiscriminate drone attacks. Putin for invading Ukraine.

Do you think they would have gone ahead knowing that would without a doubt be the consequence?

Because right now the consequences amount to a few negative articles now and then in opposition media, a less than glowing review in the history books and a few of the usual unwashed suspects picketing public visits.

If anything goes wrong in many western countries the state can be sued by foreigners and the taxpayers are left to clean up the mess the politicians made in country [X]. Zero personal consequences for politicians who are after that much time long out of office anyway.

I cant imagine the life expectancy is high for the hamas guys. I'm doubtful that the sideways explosion of the rpg will penetrate, just damage the trophy. So tank falls back to the techies in a nammer, and gets the trophy replaced.

But ballsy move, and presumably planned/practiced, with their toy merkava we saw a few months ago.

Minister of Economy Robert Habeck about antisemitism in Germany.

Whos not German and burns Israeli flags or poses as pro Hamas risks his residential permit.

He also addressed young leftists and their "two sides" view oftenly used as an excuse for blatant antisemitism from the left.
Clearest words from any german politician so far...

True unfortunately, but then that's always been the case. Still probably a fair few civilians in the north, maybe those tunnels can help them escape... oh but wait, they're only for Hamas, not the people, silly me.

so i have a question ..... i just saw on tv ... a reporter and his family were bombed by the IAF..... why? or is it based on some kind of intel that hamas is there or he is aiding a hamas insurgent.... i mean i know the israelis gave the gazans an ultimatum to move ... but damn man..... seeing all these civilians dieing on both sides really breaks my heart
Apart from any tunnels linking to two parts that is.

i think the israelis has taken this into consideration ... and might start digging a deep trench dividing northern gaza from its southern counterpart.

I think 100 to 200 feet vertical trench should do the trick

Fairly certain they put them there themselves.

Otherwise it's a pity there aren't any major arteries in the fingers.

Creating false/minor injury upon oneself and then blaming one's perceived enemy seems to be a common behavior of leftist aligned groups.
