The USS Bataan isn't that fast and it's a lot of distance to cover. Similarly the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower only entered the Med yesterday even though every ship in that group are much faster. It is also possible that the Bataan group moved slower than needed to cover the Arabian Sea while the USS Ronald Reagan moves into the region, in turn covering until the Eisenhower can transit the Suez Canal.
The one part of the world being exposed by these maneuvers is Taiwan.
