So the ground operation has begun. Even though the Hezzie (and Pally) bots like to pretend they achieved a victory in 2006, we know although they did cause damage to Israeli forces, the IDF could have carried on and defeated them properly back then, but the price for Lebanon would be high and Washington wouldn't stand by it (also let's be honest, they'd claim such a thing even if Lebanon was left in ruin and only a handful of them were still standing).
It's now 18 years later and time has moved on. Even before the Hezbollah leadership was chipped away, Israel has the latest technology and weapons systems which are much more precise than back in the day. They also of course have many more years of hardened combat experience. Hezbollah has some experience from Syria and a large amount of manpower and ordnance. However said ordnance has been decimated in recent weeks and their stockpile has largely been frozen in time with the exception of some more recent Irainian projectiles, though how effective these even are compared to the hype they get is dubious.
This is not a battle of equals, the Northern border will be secured and Hezbollah will be forced to abide by UNSC 1701, whether they like it not.

Syrian media say that Israel targeted either a building or a car in Damascus in an upscale residential area, believe it is an assassination.

They are so stupid they don't even try to hide it. This is what happens when you have people like democrats rule the FCC and usually have the majority there.
