When Israel allowed Arafat to disengage and keep his survivors rather than kill all of them this is today's result. I think there will never ever be a safe area next to Israel, but there will be a very large empty space within Gaza thanks to Palestinians allowing HAMAS to use them as shields and steal their aid every free nation has sent over the past 55 years probably longer. It will be much easier to keep an eye on what is going on due to leveling all the buildings protecting their tunnel system. I would think after all this is over with that Palestinians will be a little more cautious who they hide and protect.
