Another day, another attack.

Yemen's Houthis say they fired drone at Saudi airport after truce offer

DUBAI (Reuters) - Yemen’s Houthi forces launched a drone attack on an airport in southern Saudi Arabia, the Iran-aligned group’s military spokesman said on Tuesday, a day after Riyadh presented a new peace initiative that includes a nationwide ceasefire.

There was no immediate confirmation by Saudi authorities or the Saudi-led military coalition that has been battling the Houthis for six years, of an attack on Abha airport which has been repeatedly targeted by cross-border attacks.

“Our operations will continue as long as the aggression and siege continue,” Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said in a Twitter post.

And yet the blockades continue.......................

Not much of a blockade as the Houthis appear to have a steady supply of Iranian weaponry.
Whaaat? Why is that? Didn't we just see pictures out of Tehran where all the weapons said "MADE IN YEMEN" in big block letters on them? I don't, know, maybe someone isn't being truthful on that.

Also, the Houthis should be informed, since they really have a problem with the bockades. I would assume shiploads of food and humanitarian assistance should be just pouring into Yemen from Iran now.

Tell that to the Saudis who have been at the receiving end of these ''MADE IN YEMEN'' weaponry for years now.

So which is it? Made In Yemen or the blockades don't work and they are shipped from Iran?

You won't see anything like that as the Yemani are just useful tools/fools for the Iranians

Same as all their poxy's being used by Iran for things they are too afraid to do themselves directly - it's a bit like the Russians just flood the place with weapons and let them kill each other in an endless war they can just stoke from the sidelines

Of course. Iran wants to invest just enough to be a thorn in SA's side. They would never confront them directly with naval or air forces to break the blockades. Not their MO.

Obviously Yemen has changed a lot:

In 2000 Yemen had almost 34,000 industrial establishments with a total of nearly 115,000 workers; the majority of the establishments were small businesses (one to four employees). Almost half of all industrial establishments are involved in processing food products and beverages; the production of flour and cooking oil has increased in recent years. Approximately 10 percent of the establishments are classified as manufacturing mixed metal products, such as water-storage tanks, doors, and windows.

Both.

Or a bit like the British and the Americans flooding Syria with weapons and money. Or when the yanks assisted the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan against the Russians. Same playbook.

Only thing is the yanks didn't do it in their own backyard - so the play book is slightly different - keep it in the sandbox and everyone is happy ;)

Forgot how the yanks supported the Contra's in Nicaragua with all kinds of arms?
