Today 27/7 is Vietnam Martyr day also the day my grandmother eldest brother dead day , cause we didn't know when he was kill by the French , he was a highschool teen at that time , he and his friend swim over to the turtle temple ( a iconic landmark of ha noi city ) ( the temple in the middle of hoan kiem lake ( the return sword lake ) ) to mount a Vietnam flag , few day later the French and they puppet arrest him and from then we didn't heard any new about him , we just know from people in jail with him that he was execuse and dump into the red river , we never found his body or know the day he die .

Vietnam border guard counter terrorist training at the border with china ( old photo ) source Vietnam people army online new paper , Vietnam don't have any real terrorist problem , but few year back we did lost few border guard , the border guard have caught a group of illegal uighuir muslim who cross ilegal from china over to Vietnam ( back in 2013-4 if I remember correct befor china start education camp and other thing vs the muslim up there ) while being deporting ( waiting at the office for paper work to done ) the 2 Vietnam border guard who guarding them was offguard ( cause there are children/woman and we never been facing with terrorist befor ( thinking they are just normal illegal people who fleeing china , just like north Korean who flee NK via china then illegal crossing into Vietnam) , they think it just a normal deporting routine ) the men in the group start to attack and overhelm the guard , take they gun and shot dead a border guard and wound another ( or kill 2 cant remember ) and used they family at hostage and meat shield , after negotiation they let their family go and all the men kill them self . a lesson the boder guard will never forget

oh cool , yup from the 2 link it say Vietnam buy first 12 yak52 in 1990s , we own around 36 = seem like last order deliver around late 2000s-10 , rumor the yak52 are gona being replace by the T6 trainer

viet nam army new standar weapon , STV 380 ( STV= sung truong viet - viet military rifle 380= length of the barrel , the name will change to K-.. the year adapt once it official adapt by the army ) basic it a galil ace that Vietnam buy licens , but with modify ( ace hand guard are too big , ak selector , barrel length are reduce to 380mm , while the muzzle go up to 710m/s , ....... )

Vietnam kilo in a exercise source tuoi tre ( youth new paper ) if you wonder what the letter in the photo say , pretty much it say that first time since receive the kilo from the Russian and with out Russian trainer aboard , Vietnamese submariner have success launch a klub missile and hit it target , it show that we are now able to fully operate the sub and prof to the world that our sub and submariner are cable to defend our country ( the klub launch training are few year ago , same for the photo ) ( btw not 1:1 translate , I just convey what the general meaning of the message ) .
