Rear view of the interior of a Bishop 25-pdr self-propelled gun in North Africa - September 1942
The Bishop consisted of a QF 25-pounder gun-howitzer mounted in a box structure on a Valentine II tank chassis.
Due to its slow speed and numerous problems, only 149 were produced. Bishop’s were replaced in active service by the Priest & Sexton with surviving vehicles relegated for training.
