A De Havilland Mosquito FB Mark VI of 'A' Flight, No. 143 Squadron RAF, firing on two moored merchant vessels with rocket and cannon fire, during an attack by the Banff Strike Wing on concentrations of enemy shipping in Sandefjord, Norway. Two merchant vessels were sunk, and a tanker and three merchantmen damaged, for the loss of two Mosquitos out of 39 aircraft employed on the strike, 2 April 1945
Czechoslovakian orphans from German concentration camps make their way to Short Stirling GT Mark IVs, parked at Prague airport which will fly them to the United Kingdom for rehabilitation. Many of these children were resettled in the Windermere area of the UK.
