shershen torpedo boat firing it 533mm torpedo , most of shershen ship in the navy been decommission and transfer to coast guard which used it briefly ( main ship of the coast guard in early day 2000s befor domestic coast guard boat replacing them ( I think all the coast guard shershen were scrap after tt domestic boat start to deliver to the coast guard ( tt120-200a/b-400 ) , from some source there current 55 shershen left in the navy , this torpedo boat will still have it used in the ha long bay where there are numerous of islands . photo source THHQ

the exercise is in southern Vietnam the tree in the back ground only can be found in southern Vietnam in the mekong delta near cambodia bordersome kind of palm if I remember correct

border guard patrolling in ha giang province source qdnd ( btw like I say many tourist when visit Vietnam during winter from central up north didn't know we have winter cause all they know about Vietnam is Vietnam war movie it all hot and humid , it true if you are in southern Vietnam and in Mekong delta which hot year around , but not in the central and northern part where we have 4 season and they tend to wear summer cloth and have to rush to mall or street cloth store to buy winter cloth ) ( also few day after this photo the temp drop to negative 4 degree and the snow was quite thick but still cant compare to few year ago when some mountain ( 800m height ) in ha noi start to have snow which is super rare cause last time a record of ha noi having snow was back in 1400s during le dynasty period where the lake are frozen and there are snow , now day you only can find snow in border along china and some mountain , plus the border near yunan-Laotian and from time to time some mountain in north central part Vietnam also get snow but It rare compare to northern border which snow every year )

this guy are militia ( if direct translate will be people(dan) self defense(tu ve ) force ( quan ) in Vietnamese it will be dan quoc te ve or DQTV , haven't seen m1 firing video , most of the militia used m16 and sks/ak and there are tons of video firing them , so I think the m1 are just dry training to teach them how to used the gun in case there isn't enough m16 or ak/sks if thing happened , btw you can firing a m1 at cu chi gun range if you ever visit Vietnam and visit cu chi tunnel ( but the round are quite expensive , a dolar each if I remember correct )
