and quite a few fought with Chechens in 1990s. Look how many collaborators are there nowadays. In the 1930s during collectivization holodomor, and Stalin's purges, whole regions in the East were ethnically cleansed of Ukrainians and "replaced" with ethnic Russians from poor regions.

It only exists in Russian imagination. The issue at hand that the residents were given Russian passports, and Russia just looking for excuse to invade Moldova and Ukraine if the latter will decide to put separatist movement down through military means.

ATGM squad with Stugna, 10th Mountain brigade. The trench warfare has changed again. Right now both sides are practicing "rocket sniping", i.e. taking each other vehicles at maximum ranges for their missiles. Surprisingly Ukrainians seem to be getting an upper hand as they appear to have more and better systems than the Russians are willing to field at the moment. And NO, Ukrainian command wouldn't authorize the deployment of Javelins to take pot shots at trucks, APCs, or even BMPs.
