So are all these Nato troops getting danger pay? Anyone who has served knows that the Ukrainians are not operating any of this equipment especially the F-16 and the Mirages.

The Ukrainians of 2024 are no longer the Ukrainians who sold NATO fuel to locals in Kosovo 15 years ago...

I know some comrades (German Bundeswehr) who have trained Urkainers (artillery and at the infantry school). Most of them are not at the level of a NATO unit from America, the UK or Germany. Especially not when it comes to staff work at battalion or brigade level.
But the individual soldier is highly motivated and not stupid.

Also the kit is nothing special. Local made plate carriers are very common after two years at war.
