He left, he was getting overly concerned and emotional about the Ukraine conflict and was surprisingly very much pro Russian which made him an oddball here being challenged harshly enough by the rest of the community.

That's too bad, he was an insightful fellow – especially on scientific topics.

But yeah, I did notice that about his stance on Ukraine as well. I guess he was a bit of classic French socialist in that regard; you know, the kind that doesn't like America and automatically treats the opposite side as the good guys whenever America is involved in something.

Getting "humiliated in public" (was that the gleeful and cheerful wording?) and called "war crimes and genocide apologist" for disagreeing with "majority" does not help... *not as if there had been worse insults and attacks levied against other members of this forum though*




Don't know if he was "anti-America" though. He didn't like Trump, that's for sure (imagine anti-Trump and pro-Russia, in a time when defending Trump was being akin to being paid by the Kremlin...).

Not sure that’s actually « too bad », just because this individual was « French and contrarian » doesn’t mean that he was right, and on this precise topic he mostly made an arse of himself. And we vastly and rightly corrected him, something he could never take.

In case it’s not clear, nope he isn’t missed.

Don’t give one little shyte if he was a French socialist hating Uncle Sam or not. Personally I think French socialist are dipshit anyway.
