That is my impression also. But on other hand, they have smaller goals so they advance very slow but systematic, no opet flanks no huge distance between first and following echelon...

But yes mostly they are accepted as liberators... many of them are literally fighting for their hometowns which they had to left in 2014.
That town they liberated looks deserted. Maybe everyone fled. They don´t look expected anywhere even in Mariupol where it seems people are rather trying to prevent the liberators from coming in.

For German speakers. The automatic translation in Google/Edge works well, so non-German speakers can read it as well.
Sikorski is famous for his undiplomatic language and a tough stance against Russia.

^^^ As always, Sikorski is a star and he has nothing to do with Polish nationalism. He trolls PiS every day.

I doubt that, I seriously do. Those who wanted to go all Russian had years for settling into Russia or its proxies. The ones who stayed obviously had no intention to Russianize .... I doubt they will be liberators. But as for DNR/DLR fighters, I think they don't expect to be treated as such, that was my point.

One thing that i have noticed. Virtually no photos or videos were uploaded by Russian soldiers. That is the biggest difference in comparison with 2014 or Syria. Those guys sure have a lot to share, but for now, almost all images are uploaded from the Ukr side.

We don't have to agree :)

So let's see....

Wagner is taken off of African mineral confiscation duty and sent to Ukraine to assassinate the Ukrainian president.

Belarus is pushed to send troops to Ukraine

Chechens are sending troops to Ukraine.

Over 75% of Russian forces assembled are now committed.

5 days into this, the sky is still contested.

No major cities have fallen.

Hundreds of tanks/armored vehicles have been destroyed.

Hundreds of soft skin vehicles have been destroyed

Thousands of Russian casualties.

Running out of fuel.

I'm sorry, but if Russia didn't have nukes......

First time I hear her saying something that actually makes sense.

*and incidentally a jab at Hillary and her no-fly-zone over Syria...*

Same, thanks for typing that for me.

The man IS looking sick, bloated. I'm not a medical expert but from what I can see, either the steroids are getting to him or his heart/blood circulation is seriously out of order.
There are news stories saying he had received cancer treatment in 2020. It could be terminal now, I guess.
That would explain why he doesn't give a sh*it about how the world's reacting. He just wanted to tick a box on his bucket list and go out with a bang.

Will it carry bombs?
It'd be useful if those MIGs could be used as bomb/missile trucks and have targets acquired by drones. Those are some massive convoys begging to be bombed.

Agree, I found another source which says 23 aircraft - basically the upgraded. But the older ones, could be used for parts, or if they can be made flyable in reasonable time, used as bomb trucks. For Ukr its a massive boost, even if it gives them a week of flying.

Most of those settlements are half-deserted, some suffered lot of destruction in 2014 others were to close to the real frontline that was active for 8 years, not the nicest place for living and raising kids. But you could find a video on pro-Russian accounts in which residents are happy because DNR/LNR take over their towns. Mariupol, i don't know, lot of Russians but at the same time, the majority are Ukrainians if i am not wrong.

In DNR/LNR war is a reality for 8 years, it didn't start last week as for most of Ukraine. Shellings of Gorlovka, Doneck Lugansk... Even today UKR forced attacked civilian settlements quite hard people died there... but nobody cared. Easiest is to put all blame on Russia. But it is not quite right, at least not in my book. Ukraina has big part of the blame on her hands. 8 years they refuse any negotiations. Now, and only now, they negotiate.

But I know that most of you simply want to blame Russia....
