Russia has certainly lost a lot of equipment and experienced soldiers over the past few months and has had to juggle units to plug gaps.
I keep expecting that a hole will eventually open up somewhere, especially in an area manned by recently mobilized troops. I do not expect complete victory, but I would like to see Ukraine go into the winter with some momentum and the ability to take the land bridge under effective fire.
The question is, has Ukraine managed to squirrel away a mechanized strike force capable of such a move? There are rumors...but there are always rumors.
