I think Slovakia agrees to have ukrainian gran shipped through slovakia, but I doubt any wider deal is done.

We have elections in two weeks and the leading party and potential partners are pretty "bear friendly"

They might not be able to form a coalition however.
Poland has never stopped Ukrainian grain from being shipped through Poland. It's just the Ukrainian government who tried to push this bullsh1t, p1ssing off many people in Poland.
It looks like the Ukrainian government is pretty good at self-damaging and wants to alienate one of its closest partners, while about 90% of supplies delivered to Ukraine go via this partner's territory. I don't know why the Ukrainians want to increase the number of pro-Russian MPs in the Polish parliament.

The country has gone through so many months of hardship that I am very forgiving for some mishaps.

The liberation of the country will take years, and may simply be impossible given the size of Ukraine's population and demographic trends

Ukraine sued Slovakia as well which is'nt a great idea before important elections

De Gaulle was a b!tch with Churchill often although the latter was his biggest backer. War wears leaders out.

EDIT: disappointed with the polish reaction on weapons.

Much of this is the fault of Polish politicians - the lack of a well-thought-out reaction at the very beginning, omissions from the moment the problem was known, playing on voters' feelings and creating an atmosphere of fear. We had many chances to solve this problem. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the entire effort of Polish society to help Ukraine will disappear in the information noise caused by this dispute. The hub in Rzeszów is operating and will continue to operate, but the Prime Minister's ill-considered statements are already causing confusion.
We are losing opportunities for good and clear cooperation in the future. No sense. We have incurred great costs that will benefit others.

Edit:
I rarely comment on political issues, but this whole situation upsets me because I am simply ashamed of the "politicians" of my country. And because there is some truth in the statement of the President of Ukraine. We lack unity and that will make Russia happy. Ukraine also has its dirty tricks, but we should have learned how to deal with them by now.
@Telmar - I will repeat once again - I see no chance of ending the operation of the hub in Rzeszów. This is just an escalation by politicians before the elections.

Losing more friends:

During the latest round of fighting over Nagorno Karabakh Russia offered no support to their traditional ally Armenia, even telling them to lay down their arms and surrender the enclave to Azerbaijan. This perceived betrayal has sparked strong anti-russian sentiment in Armenia.

If only russia had troops available to send to the region. Maybe take some troops out of the Zaphorhiza area? 🤣

The 2020 conflict should have been a wake up call for Putler that his army couldn't punch it's way through a paper bag. The Azerbaijani military has some modern (drone) capability, but other than that it's not exactly NATO level tech and that small edge was enough to wreck the Armenians.

EDIT: disappointed with the polish reaction on weweapons.
The president used a totally undiplomatic language which is bad.
What he meant is that Poland is running out of the stuff it can donate, as we have donated so much already and we won't give any moden equipment that we will get from the USA and South Korea in the future.
Why? Because if we did, Konfederacja would get 25% in the following elections in 2027. They would use that opportunity to ask random people why we took massive credits that will be paid off by our great-great-grandchildren just to disarm ourselves and donate all that stuff to Ukraine.

This is what i was reading at lunch. Poland, Slovakia have given everything they could. Even in some cases hardware that would have still been of use. So the friends Ukraine wants to make are those who can mass make them. Ukraine turning to Germany after Germany being so undecisive in the first year of the conflict seems like a blow to traditional partners...but is a pragmatic step. Germany can manufacture quantities others cannot.

What many people forgot (in Slovakia less that' s why we had to contend with less sympathy for them) is that Ukrainians have a very violent and efficient underworld. It does illegal activities and covers them with more legal activities. Their grain is very low quality, has traces of chemicals that are cheap, banned in the EU, but widely used there as to kill the prices. Wifey Telmar was terrified when she saw that I eat oat flakes made in a slovak mill that admitted to have bought Ukrainian grain, although not having used it...There are shady business deals all around what is being done for them. It is difficult to fully go around them, especially in a country like ukraine.

Ukraine is better than Russia in democracy but very close when it comes to bad oligarchic influence.

That being said, any country leader that has faced the horrors, the casualty reports, the tough decisions, the nervousness, is entitled to be better understood by leaders of nations that say they are friends of his country. If SMER wins in Slovakia on september 30th, their leaders never hid they dispise Ukraine when not under the influence of Russia. But at least they are not turncoats.

To Conhoon> I have no doubt the hub in Rzeszow will continue to operate and most Polish people will stand by Ukraine. It' s just sad that russia got a point from a country like Poland that did so much.

Russia had guaranteed safety for Armenia. it cannot enforce it. That should be a wake up call for those who think Russia is till ship shape when it comes to military capacities. Unfortunately, those who think that are such cretineous creatures that it still does' nt get through.

In every country there are a bunch of fools and sometimes they even sit in the government....

Uragan and Himars. More of these please, peace through superior firepower or in German: Frieden schaffen mit Steilfeuerwaffen
