Forgive my skepticism regarding the "good cop-bad cop routine the Chinese are so adept at running. They are enjoying the Ukraine fiasco as it shines the spotlight elsewhere as they proceed with their attempt at "Asian Assimilation". It also serves to bleed their two main stumbling blocks to regional and global domination, though Russia has become little more than a speed bump.

I would take their backpedaling a little more seriously if they sent this POS off for "reeducation".

It is instructive that Macron's prostration in front of his Chinese masters led to an almost immediate diplomatic probe by China.

Because within one year, their main ally, Russia. Has made the looke irrelavant. They cant think of replacing the US if they themselves still rely on Russian tech. Now if this offensive works and wipes Russia's ass. It would be a win for the US and the West.
Look at what is happening in Asia now, the largest military exercise between the US and the Philippines are all showing the same weapons deployed in Ukraine.
