Other Post Rugby World Cup - Japan 2019

Only 40 minutes into France - Argentina at the moment and Les Bleus have a good lead over the Pumas. Really surprised judging from their last performances. Either Argentina is having a terrible day or the French are walking on water.

Figured this couldn’t last. 20-18 for the frenchies and they are falling apart now.

This ended on a brawl as the Argies were sore loser.

First half was French, second half was Argentinian. A bit of luck for France too.

Good win that Jake . The southern hemisphere teams run away with it last world cup so good to see a northern win . Sa v NZ next . I'm going for a narrow SA win but could go either way .

Looks like the darkness will win that one. Wallabies got a fright against Fiji, but ran away in the end.

Too many dropped balls in the NZ/SA game, but I did enjoy watching it. Also liked the Ireland vs. Scotland game even though it was rather one-sided. Italy looked too good for Namibia, but not good enough to give either of SA or us a fright.

I’m not liking how the US has to face all 4 games force ranked hardest to easiest.

US Eagles are going to get clobbered by England.

Hopefully France has a really really bad day playing the US.

US/Argentina is the match I want to see, fingers crossed the US Eagles step up to the challenge,as they’ve faced off well against the Argies in the last 12-18 months.

US should beat Tonga.

My hope is US Eagles finish the RWC door knocking for entry into the global Top 10.

Anyone will be following the Rugby WC in September taking place in Japan?

Any bets on who wins this?

My €€€ are on the All Blacks

Beside Tonga and even then, The US didn’t have much « easy » teams to play. I’m looking forward every of their matches. Whilst the US generally speaking isn’t big on Rugby (and soccer, beside the ladies) they often play with heart and passion, regardless of sometimes technical difficulties.

Game to game the US Eagles are pretty erratic and inconsistent.

But looking at the US Eagles at the long term macro level, I doubt there is another country that has slowly and consistently improved(relatively) as much as the US Eagles over the last decade+.

Slowly, slowly catchy monkey.

The US has a seemingly endless pipeline of raw material(athletes not suitable for certain NFL positions) and is improving their coaching talent(Mitchell former All Blacks coach, now replaced by former ‘Boks coach).

Fingers crossed, they display further improvement this RWC.

Well now that was a bit of a shocker wasn’t it! Japan to come in second in their pool. It could happen especially if Scotland don’t up their game.

I think the ref's are going a bit gaga with the tackling rules, and the constant referals to the TMO. Doesn't make for the best experience as a spectator.

I didn't see the Wales Wallabies game, but I did see an avalanche of sooking and bitching about the ref on social media.

In this instance I think they have some validity.

Not starting at the pace of a glacier might help too. That's a couple of slow starts in a row now.

To get back to you on this, I have absolutely no expectations about the French this year but if they go far and play well, I’ll be the first one to applaud them. Winning the WC is delusional though let’s be serious.

I am reminded of the closest we ever were of winning against the All Blacks in 2011, legendary final. I was a bit sad but the Kiwis weren’t dîcks about us losing and have been gentlemen. So we swallowed that pill.
