Over ten years ago when I first started posting Chinese military photos I was disappointed that PLA photos were so obviously staged..some still are. Years ago you would have NEVER seen PLA photos like these..

Notice how the Chinese have censored the pilots cockpit display.

The first photo is interesting. They looked like Kuomingtang troops. Did a Google search and got this link: https://item.btime.com/34uhmb7m1h480ppcd2g5l3n60c1. From my limited knowledge of Chinese, it states in the article that these are Kuomingtang troops with Soviet T-26 tanks and US M3 Stuart tanks at Shanghai harbour.

Nice work Buddy, there was no description of the photo at MPN archives

I did a reverse image search and found these great pics and Info

82 T-26Mod were imported from the Soviet Union in 1933 to form the famed KMT 200th Mechanized Division. They saw action throughout the "War of China's Resistance Against Japan" as well as the "Chinese Civil War" shortly afterward.

Surviving T-26s were shipped to Taiwan in 1949 from Shanghai to support the KMT garrison there, see photos below.

Wow! thanks for posting. I did finally find some photos at mp.net archives that I did post however thanks to photobucket they are no longer visible....

The person making business decisions at photobucket regarding how much to charge for photo posting needs to be beat about the head and shoulders with a blunt instrument..or something.

Yep photobucket have broken many forum threads around the web, we have some broken photo links here too but I am hoping (perhaps in vain) that they may change their minds, if they ever do Our software will cache the pics and then it matters not what PB do after that because they will always be stored on our server.

Brilliant find Bombardier! I didn't know the KMT used Soviet arms too.

The assistance was massive between 1936 (Xi'an Incident, when the Soviets backed Chiang Kai-shek) and 1941 including combat pilots. The most notable explots of the latter was the long range bombing raid by SB-2s on the airfiled in Formosa (Taiwan) on February 23rd, 1938.

I didn't know all that. I'll read up more once after working hours, especially on the myriad of arms used by the Kuomingtang troops.
