Great to see Philippines dipping the toes in modern warship ability with the Jose Rizal ships ( even if they're not quite what they contracted) but the old USCG ships have to be completely worn out machinery-wise after almost 60 years. They were used hard and hung up wet when I was around in the 80's and they certainly wouldn't have gotten better with age!

it was one general that was bitching about what they got, the rest of the PN is fine with it and is ordering two bigger ones as a corvette from SoKor. Whats funny is that raised so much issue with the senate opposition, while nobody questioned the previous administrations actions of buying the Del Pilar class which were a bunch of clapped out USCG cutters. One was so bad the Philippines had to buy an engine for it just to get it moving.
