Great to see Philippines dipping the toes in modern warship ability with the Jose Rizal ships ( even if they're not quite what they contracted) but the old USCG ships have to be completely worn out machinery-wise after almost 60 years. They were used hard and hung up wet when I was around in the 80's and they certainly wouldn't have gotten better with age! ;)
it was one general that was bitching about what they got, the rest of the PN is fine with it and is ordering two bigger ones as a corvette from SoKor. Whats funny is that raised so much issue with the senate opposition, while nobody questioned the previous administrations actions of buying the Del Pilar class which were a bunch of clapped out USCG cutters. One was so bad the Philippines had to buy an engine for it just to get it moving.
