The BIO Hespérides is the only remaining polar research vessel of the Spanish Navy, after the recent decommissioning of BIO Las Palmas (A52) few weeks ago (7 March 2025).
The scientific research campaigns in Antarctic waters and the support to the two Spanish scientific stations in the area, the Antarctic Base Gabriel de Castilla (Deception Island) and the Antarctic Base Juan Carlos I (Livingstone Island) are charged to the 'BIO Hespérides' and also to the civilian vessel 'BO Sarmiento de Gamboa' attached to the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).

Indian Navy Eastern Naval Command extends a warm welcome to USS Comstock and USS Ralph Johnson of the US Navy to Visakhapatnam for Exercise Tiger Triumph 2025. The ships will partake in the Tri-Services India-US Amphibious Exercise Ex Tiger Triumph 25 under the aegis of ENC. The fourth edition of exercise is aimed to enhance interoperability and formulate a multinational command and control model for HADR missions in the IOR. The Harbour Phase will be from 01 to 07 April 2025 and Sea Phase from 08 to 12 April 2025.

VARUNA 2025, 4-day Indo-French bilateral naval exercise concluded on 22 Mar along the Western Seaboard. Final day witnessed coordinated manoeuvres by ships from both Navies, synchronized formation flying by aircraft, and a steam past, reflecting the synergy between the Indian Navy and French Navy.
CLEMENCEAU 25 | The GAN conducted exercise VARUNA with the Indian Navy. This bilateral exercise strengthened interoperability cross-deck training, air defense, RAM, with the participation of 30 aircraft and 11 ships.
Royal New Zealand Navy Ship HMNZS Te Kaha was accorded a warm welcome on her arrival in Mumbai on 20 Mar. Cdr Fiona Jameson, the Commanding Officer, called on RAdm Vidhyadhar Harke, CSO (Ops) at HQ WNC, and discussed issues of mutual interest. Several activities to enhance cooperation and strengthen bilateral ties have been planned as part of the Ship's visit, including cross-deck visits, sports fixtures, and social events. On departure, the ship is scheduled to undertake a Maritime Partnership Exercise with Indian Navy, enhancing operational coordination and showcasing a shared commitment to maritime collaboration.

Richelieu's went to sea for the last time in February of 1956. She was placed in reserve at Brest and employed as a barracks ship and floating classroom until 1967.
