Eight men of the "13e Bataillon de Chasseurs Alpins" will be undergoing the initial phase of sniper training in the mountains of "Savoie" during the whole month of June. If they pass that first course they will go for another two months of training before being operational as sniper and DMR.

"Belle" company, as well as the command and support company of the "13e Bataillon de Chasseurs Alpins", together with a company of the "2e Régiment étranger du Génie" did a stint at the CENTAC training center in "Campy Mailly".

On the occasion of the feast of Saint Bernard, patron Saint of the "Chasseurs Alpins, the 13e BCA held a commemorative ceremony at the "Roc noir" mountain. At the end of WWII the 13e BCA had been involved in heavy fighting on the "Roc noir" peak.
