Frigates 30FFM will replace Asahi-class destroyers (planned to build 8 units) and will be able to conduct mine operations. Displacement of approximately 3900 tons, length 130 m, width 16 m, power plant combined gas turbine / diesel (CODAG - one Rolls-Royce MT30 GTU and two MAN diesel engines). Armament - AU Mk 45 caliber 127 mm, UVP for KR and SAM (16 or 24), 8 anti-ship missiles (possibly based on XSSM), SeaRAM self-defense system, helicopter hangar, torpedo tubes and launchers for dipole reflectors.
