Aeromedical Isolation Team

Patients affected by highly contagious diseases, often require care and treatment that are difficult to find on the site of the infection. The best life expectancy can only be provided by specialized centers on infectious diseases located far away from the place of infection, frequently in other Countries. Transportation to these centers, however, implies a high risk of infection and can be done only after taking proper precautions.For this reason, Italy has set up an aero-medical isolation team trained and equipped with the appropriate equipment to carry out this type of air transport.
