Is this San Marino Battalion?

San Marco, of course. My bad.

Affirmative, The unit was called Battaglione "San Marco" since 1964 to 1991 when It became Reggimento "San Marco".

After that IT Navy amphibian forces has been reorganized several times.

Since march 2013 all amphibian and installations defence forces merged to form BRIGATA MARINA "SAN MARCO" , so now they have the dimension of a Brigate with three operational Regiments (1st, 2nd and 3rd "San Marco"). Total strength is about 3.800 infantrymen.
