I wondered about that as well, particularly since the original press release mentioned the Sufa and more aircraft that didn't come in the end; but it might be down to costs. The Israeli Air Force was to hold no major exercises at all this year due to the pandemic and the associated recession. But according to the man himself, General Norkin convinced his government to let the meeting go ahead. Apparently, he and Gerhartz became drinking buddies during Blue Flag 2019.

Mmm, never did flag, deci was bad enough, goose bay was also pretty bad, from an alcohol intake point. Goose did have good food, I recall. The warning on renting some motorbikes, was look out for bears, and Indians.....also one lad tried to smuggle a hand grenade back, bought in the local Woolworths...basically deployed from there to Saudi, with a few weeks in Germany.

Cut out your jokes 'cause this a very sensitive topic to me. ? For years I've been whingeing about "ghost grey" – or whatever the hell that colour is called that's become as ubiquitous in air forces as multicam has in personal camouflage. I want my aircraft camouflaged, damn it. Could you imagine how rad a Eurofighter Typhoon would look wearing one of the previously used colour schemes, like this one or these ones?
