Indian Coast Guard Station Vadinar, Gujarat conducted Regional Maritime Search & Rescue Exercise from 05-06 Mar 25. The exercise included Tabletop, Brainstorming session, latest M-SAR tech demo & SAR sea-exercise by Ships & Aircraft of ICG and stakeholders. Real time simulation of Mass Rescue Operations with active participation from local agencies was also exercised towards enhancing synergy in response capacity.

India's Humanitarian Outreach to Djibouti. Indian Coast Guard Ship Sachet entered Port De Djibouti today, delivering vital medical supplies as part of India's HADR mission. Led by MEA India, this initiative reaffirms India's support for the Global South. Aid will be handed over to Djibouti Govt on 07 Mar 2025. A testament to India's SAGAR vision, this mission strengthens regional cooperation in Indian Ocean Region through White Hull Diplomacy.

Bongosagar 25
INS Ranvir, a guided missile destroyer of the IN Eastern Fleet under the aegis of IN HQ ENC, participated in the India - Bangladesh Naval Exercise Bongosagar-25 and Indian Navy - Bangladesh Navy Coordinated Patrol CORPAT in the Bay of Bengal. The exercise featured advanced tactical manoeuvres, underway replenishment, VBSS & communication drills The exercise underscores longstanding partnership between the two nations, bolstering coordinated operations to counter contemporary challenges in the maritime domain & fostering regional security in line with GoI’s initiative of SAGAR.

INS Tarkash, deployed in the Western Indian Ocean Region, undertook a Maritime Partnership Exercise MPX with Hellenic Navy Ship HS Hydra. The MPX encompassed cross-deck landings by integral helicopters of the two ships, anti-piracy drills including simulated boarding on a hijacked ship, Subject Matter Exchange, and advanced tactical manoeuvres. The exercise aimed at enhancing interoperability, strengthening bilateral maritime cooperation and imbibing Best Practices between the friendly navies.

IAF conducted an aerial display over Motihari, Bihar, on 07-08 Mar 25, as part of the 'Know Your Armed Forces' campaign. Su-30, An-32, & Chetak aircraft showcased flawless formation flying, while the Akash Ganga skydiving team mesmerized spectators with their daring display. Exercise Khanjar-XII 2025
The opening ceremony of the Joint Military Exercise Khanjar-XII, between special forces of India and Kyrgyzstan, was held at Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan. The Exercise is scheduled to be conducted from 10 to 23 March 2025. The Exercise is designed to enhance interoperability between the special forces of both countries, focusing on joint operations in urban warfare scenarios, counter-terrorism tactics and precision sniping, all conducted under the framework of a United Nations mandate. Exercise Khanjar-XII 2025 aims to enhance military cooperation and interoperability and share the best practices between the Special Forces of the Indian Army and the Kyrgyzstan Army.

Indian Navy carried out an exceptional medical evacuation operation at sea on 20 Mar from MV Heilan Star 230 nm off Goa. Based on inputs from MRCC Mumbai of Indian Coast Guard, Indian Naval Ships IN R11 Vikrant & Deepak were swiftly diverted for the mission. The Seaking from INS Vikrant undertook a challenging winching operation to evacuate three injured crew members - two Chinese and one Indonesian national -and airlifted them to Goa for advanced medical care. This joint mission highlights India’s commitment to maritime safety & life-saving efforts, even beyond its boundaries.

23rd edition of India - France Bilateral Naval Exercise Varuna commences today 19 Mar 25. Varuna 2025 will showcase the collaborative strength of the two Navies with
- Two aircraft carriers - French Navy's Charles De Gaulle & Indian Navy's Vikrant along with their integral fighter aircraft
- Destroyers & frigates
- Indian Scorpene-class submarine
- Maritime patrol aircraft

Having evolved into a cornerstone of cooperation, showcasing the two nations' commitment to enhancing naval interoperability & operational synergy, Varuna 2025 will feature advanced air defence drills & fighter exercises, Anti-submarine warfare & surface warfare operations.

Day 2 witnessed joint exercises showcasing interoperability & operational synergy between French Navy and Indian Navy. Highlights included strike & air defence drills by French Rafale-M and Indian MIG-29K fighters, supported by E2C & P8I. The Navies also demonstrated seamless replenishment-at-sea operations with their Fleet Tankers, alongside Anti-Air gun firing and Anti-Submarine Warfare exercises. These activities underscored the strong #maritimepartnership and mutual operational capabilities of the two naval forces.

Day 3 of VARUNA 2025 consolidated the drills undertaken on Day 2, showcasing cohesive execution of advanced naval drills between the Indian Navy and the French Navy. The joint exercises focused on enhancing operational synergy & demonstrating their collective maritime capabilities, reinforcing a strong foundation of collaboration and trust.

VARUNA 2025, 4-day Indo-French bilateral naval exercise concluded on 22 Mar along the Western Seaboard. Final day witnessed coordinated manoeuvres by ships from both Navies, synchronized formation flying by aircraft, and a steam past, reflecting the synergy between the Indian Navy and French Navy.

Operation Brahma: Indian Army’s Humanitarian Mission to Myanmar. In a swift response to the 28 March 2025 earthquake in Myanmar, the Indian Army, as part of Operation Brahma, is deploying a specialised medical task force to provide urgent humanitarian aid. A 118-member team of Airborne Angels from the elite Shatrujeet Brigade Medical Responders, led by Lieutenant Colonel Jagneet Gill, is departing for Myanmar with essential medical equipment. A 60-bed Medical Treatment Centre will be set up to support local healthcare services strained by the disaster. This mission reaffirms India’s ‘Neighborhood First’ policy and the ethos of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, standing in solidarity with friendly nations in times of crisis.
