INS Sumitra undertook Maritime Partnership Exercise with Republic Of Korea Navy CTTG. Manoeuvres, replenishment at sea & gun shoots culminated in a steam past. This visit further strengthens maritime cooperation & enhances interoperability between the Navies.

Fourth day of HADR operations in South Tamil Nadu. IAF MI-17 & ALH-Dhruv helicopters, operated in inclement weather, air dropping 14 tons of relief materials. So far total of 48 tons have been dropped in more than 28 different places of Toothkudi and Tirunelveli Districts.

Continuing with the HADR operations into the second day to provide succor in flood affected regions of South Tamil Nadu, 3 ALH helicopters of Air Force Station, Sulur took off early morning today thereby adding to the already in action Mi-17V5 helicopter for with relief operations

Tanzanian delegation led by General Jacob John Mkunda, CDF, Tanzania visited Mechanised Infantry Centre & School Ahmednagar. The delegation was given exposure to the infrastructure, training curriculum at the institute & dynamic capabilities of the Infantry Combat Vehicle ICV followed by a Make in India Defence Equipment Exhibition.

The Tanzanian Delegation led by General Jacob John Mkunda, Chief of Defence Forces CDF, Tanzania visited Infantry School, Mhow to get an insight into the training methodologies employed at the premier training institute. The delegation was briefed on the latest Infantry Weapons and witnessed the firing & training of the latest weaponry.

A Delegation from Saudi Arabia led by Maj Gen Mansour M Aldosari visited Combat Army Aviation Training School CAATS, Nashik. The delegation gained insights on training modules of RPAS and Rotary Wing platforms at the training establishment.

General Anil Chauhan, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM CDS visited INS Rajali today. He was received by Cmde Kapil Mehta, CO, INS Rajali and was briefed on Operational Preparedness of the Air Station. He interacted with officers, sailors, DSC and Defence Civilian personnel. During his address, he stressed on the importance of ensuring a very high level of Combat preparedness and maintaining continuous Maritime Surveillance in the present geopolitical arena of IOR.

Indian navy Sea Hawk FGA.6, they served from 1961 to 1983 onboard INS Vikrant, and during a very short time, alongside Sea Harriers FRS.51. During the 1971 war, they fought with sucess and no losses against Pakistani forces.

Those Sea Hawks have always been a sexy looking plane to me......I'm probably a little weird though, Hunters are a love of mine as well!!!
