Seems like there was a failure from the Iron Dome and AD defenses on that one.

Considering the amount of missiles that managed to reach the ground in a non-intercepted way.

One thing to consider is automated logic and recommendations around interception.

With Iron Dome designed to go after the shorter distance and higher volume unguided rocket fire from Hamas/Hez, it’s been reported in open source that the system will de-prioritise or ignore targets with projected trajectories over lower value or dead ground, and prioritise fires on targets with projected trajectories that are at risk of killing massed population and critical infrastructure(high value ground).

I would think the same would likely apply to longer range ballistic missile fires as well.

Apply limited and expensive ballistic missile interceptors to highest value Iranian missile trajectories and possible de-prioritize / ignore others.

However, if the Iranians have maneuverable warhead buses that would change the calculus.

Just my guess-to mate.

Those are "Red Alerts", air raid warnings, not hits.

A couple of million each. Not pocket change.

But also not ‘a message’. Israel appears done with ‘ restraint’.

If this was mainly on the air base, they would need to take out 12 or so f16, or a couple of f35, to make it purely financially worthwhile. I very much doubt they hit anything like this number.

The only question is what high value targets does Israel go at?

I can't find the tweet anymore, but there was a video of Gazans cheering on missiles flying over. What the room temperature IQ crowd didn't get was that they came from the west and so could only have been US SM-3 and SM-6 missiles

You're right, I meant to say targeted rather than hit, responding to fast information etc.
