I wish people would stop saying this stupid S**t - being "the most moral army in the world" etc. IDF is not more (or less, for that matter) "moral", than other Western militaries. They all are working under more or less the same guidelines, defined by common interpretation of International (Humanitarian) Law. The only thing, which makes IDF to stand out in this regard, is that we are constantly facing the enemy (both Hamas and Hezzies), which got uniquely adept at using civilians as human shield and weapon in their hybrid warfare. Which also requires uniquely creative approaches by IDF. This is not about being "moral", it's about being effective given the unique challenges we are facing, that's it. The implication of statements like this is the rest Western militaries are somehow "less moral" - deeply unfair sentiment towards our closest allies. Not f***ing helpful.

There are reasons why IDF is more careful with using Air Force in Shejaya - like for example, flattening the whole place into piles of rabble would severely compromise exposing the vast underground infrastructure found there, amongst other things...
