The USA still has citizens to evacuate & the taliban need humanitarian aid bad. Hope they can come to some agreement quickly.
I have a feeling that the Afghans/Taliban will find the CCP to be not as lavish spenders as the Americans. It'll will be interesting.

The taliban don't want the American Military anywhere in Afghanistan. They don't trust them or their advanced weaponry. Still smarting from the defeat they suffered 20 years ago I guess. The Chinese are settling in at Bagram & the taliban are promising security for all their mining operations. The Chinese are promising roads, hospitals, infrastructure, cash loans, humanitarian aid, etc. basically the same stuff they promised in Congo & we all know how well that turned out.....but maybe it'll be different this time. In the meantime Bagram is ramping up some evacuations with semi legal documentation with taliban overwatch.....so far for no fees. Destination visas basically.

****ALERT****Been awhile since I've gotten one of these. Had thought they didn't care anymore.

Joe Talibiden is capable of paying an official visit to Afeghanistan

Seeing orphans hugging their parent's coffins too often these days. I really wish the taliban the best in eradicating the extremist terrorists like isis without America's help. While I've started thinking the taliban are also trying to take on the tuff responsibility of running an entire Country & feed, water & keep 39M from freezing to death this winter I have to give them credit for sticking to their hardcore quranic beliefs with the rest of the muslim world has moderated theirs. I try to look at my religious beliefs that I've followed all my life & it's served me well. Maybe it's a good time to see if we can meet some middle ground starting with killing infidels that won't convert to islam. Worth a shot, what we've been doing isn't working. Maybe I'm just getting soft as I face 40 but I have made a lot of friends here in the last few years I just wish them a better safe way to live their lives.

Hi guys. I haven't followed the news from Afghanistan for a long time. Can you briefly tell us what interesting things happened in the last two or three weeks? All good, thank you.

PIA [Pak Int'l Air] has ceased flight ops out of Kabul today, the last commercial airline operating out of Afghanistan. Insurance rates of $400K per flight [combat zone] is apparently the reason that pushed ticket prices to Islamabad to $2,500/person for the short flight out of Afghanistan. The taliban had asked PIA to lower their ticket prices to prefall of the gov't of $150 & is using the xcuse of taliban heavy handedness as the reason for flight ops ceasing. Charter flights can continue & we've gotten 2 out of Mazar to the north & will add Kabul if the logistics can be worked out. The taliban are checking documents especially passports. The NGO IsraAid has been extremely helpful with charter flights, consular docs, visas & approvals of secondary interim destinations. This will be a slow process this way. For a Nation to go back to C-17 military flights that Nation will need to recognize the taliban as the official gov't. & we're working on that.....it can always be revoked at will. No reason this has to be so messy & such a tuff time for the folks that need to evacuate. That's all the news for tonight, smoke em if you got em.

why Taliban gov first era didn't Afghan bankruptcy, but Taliban gov second era did Afghan bankruptcy?

An evacuation flight departed Afghanistan a few minutes ago carrying 353 passengers, including students and faculty from the AUAF, American, French & UK citizens & SIV document holders that will forward to the US after a temporary stay in Doha. This was a Qatari charter aircraft. With the Greenland partnership 2 Y-20 Chinese transports have been delivered this week & after a little outfitting & pilot training they will start rotations into Bagram AF Base for remaining Nationals evacuations. Current estimates of evacuation #'s is 2,000-3,000+ people left to evacuate. Is anyone still interested in these evacuation updates???? It's going to be pretty boring with resettlement pictures & crowded aircraft.

Yes please!

We're still trying to get our legit folks with visas out, your info is helpful in providing near real-time context.

Any luck with the contacts I sent you to get your folks out yet? Things will be a lot safer & orderly once we work out the rule book with the Chinese....we may be trading Greenland oil & Danish pork, they need both, haha. Really hoping to finish before the snow flies. Don't know I can stand another winter of finding half frozen children on the side of the road.
