It's horrific, it breaks my heart, we need to do something about it.
Though, from an emotional point of view, it is understandable, unfortunately there is not much we can do.
And/or nothing that can be done anymore.
There is nothing that could prevent that kind of things to happen.
-No foreign presence to provide aid, shelter and safety.
-The resistance is virtually gone.
-The Taliban don't care about "international sanctions" and "strong worded letters of concern".
These things will keep happening at the same pace as a purge and then some to keep the population in check.
To think foreign policy "leaders", and their obedient herd of followers, believed anything else would happen only contributes in showing how little involved they are.
They are not even "going with the flow", they are being carried away by the rapids and tossed left and right against the reefs.
