It's horrific, it breaks my heart, we need to do something about it.

Though, from an emotional point of view, it is understandable, unfortunately there is not much we can do.
And/or nothing that can be done anymore.

There is nothing that could prevent that kind of things to happen.
-No foreign presence to provide aid, shelter and safety.
-The resistance is virtually gone.
-The Taliban don't care about "international sanctions" and "strong worded letters of concern".

These things will keep happening at the same pace as a purge and then some to keep the population in check.

To think foreign policy "leaders", and their obedient herd of followers, believed anything else would happen only contributes in showing how little involved they are.
They are not even "going with the flow", they are being carried away by the rapids and tossed left and right against the reefs.

I've never been able to stand children being abused or killed in any conflict or on any side. Had a US Dept of State guy tell me when I was in a dark place after we found mass dead children killed by isis in Iraq that they were probably better off dead because their future was bleak.....some stuff really tests your faith. Islam is one f'd up cult.

Milley just told Congress that Al Qaeda could reconstitute as a threat within the next year.

And also that the Taliban has never renounced Al-Qaeda or broken affiliation with them.

American citizens, green carders & SIV documented Afghan allies are still trickling out. If we can get them to the airport Qatar will fly them. Not sure how much longer cobbling this together like this will last, things could get sketchy in minutes.

Waiting on instructions from State & DNS. Planes entry port to the USA was diverted from JFK to Dulles & now has been denied entry to the US. Still on the ground in Qatar.....for 14 hrs. Get your S**t together US, we've done our part that should have been yours.

“Our embassy staff in the UAE has been working around the clock to verify the accuracy of the passenger manifest and is coordinating with DHS/Customs and Border Protection on the ground to ensure the passengers are screened and vetted before they are permitted to fly to the United States,”

You ever have one of those days when you question why you are doing this?????????

DHS is starting to realize they have lost control.
The Southern Border being one example.

But regarding the oh so fabled airlift, great success, bug numbers, DHS is starting to have the narrative blow back in their face.
During the hearings, Austin repeated ad nauseam they had managed a great airlift, in a very limited period of time, in a period of crisis and great instability, and many many people got evacuated.

Yet missing to point out the fact that, among all those who got evacuated very few should have. Very few had the proper papers and clearances to board these planes and get evacuated.
And now these nonveted people are in the US. Some are purely unknown (which is made worse by the absence of traceability due to Afghanistan's system collapse), some are known petty criminals, some are on the terrorist watchlist, kids are being used as "free-pass", etc...
DHS has very little idea who they evacuated and let in, and now that they are in the US, and with the Taliban in control, they can't deport these individuals back.

So, DHS is now slowing down on the whole thing.

USState not answering calls or replying to emails [Nat'l Holiday???] so their manifest of passengers are on the way to Ramstein to live in tents with winter coming on & we'll spend our efforts on Euro evacuees for now. For the record we can only contact evacuees with the contact information for the flight manifest with the information the US & their NGOs furnish us. We have a good system that works & is relatively safe. No idea how many Americans & their allies are still in country as we're only getting dribs & drabs of about 25 @ a time to put together a full manifest of passengers, but from talking to previous evacuees it's probably in excess of 1000 still. I'm sorry the US has problems with their Mexican border, above my paygrade. Of concern, COVID has ramped up across Afghanistan so we may start running into Countries refusing to take sick evacs. My rotation has been extended already 2 weeks so the crew is ready to point North to home.

Not sure who kicked State in the ass but flight was finally diverted in mid air. Landed in Chicago, IL, USA last night. Tuff love I guess, we were about 30 minutes from talking some S**t to the media. Project Dynamo is handling the press on this fubar.

When you beat the memo home to shave your Afghan beards & staches to meet the Queen on arrival after a 45 day rotation of snatching citizens & allies under the noses of our taliban buddies. We'd follow our Queen to hell carrying gas cans......the wife seemed to buy the lipstick on my check story.

Követnénk királynőnket a pokolba, gázpalackokat cipelve ...... a feleség úgy tűnt, megveszi a rúzsot a csekk történetemen.View attachment 340315

Another 235 Afghan allies evac'd out of Kabul today. Put together by various teams working together. No western or euro citizens onboard, not sure why. Still a lot of citizens trying to get out.

Chinese military flights land at Bagram.
