HMAS Westralia & Brisbane (AKA Steel Cat) RAS accident
HMAS Brisbane was my first sea draft in 1975
"Steel cable parts after being fully paid out, diesel hose parts shortly after. Notice "sparks" when cable parts. HMAS Brisbane could not maintain station in heavy seas."

I would put my money on either AH-64E Apache or AH-1Z Viper for the replacement with my best bet being the Apache with more room for upgrades and with MUMT (man-unmanned teaming) hardwired into the E model.
