Yep, in one week more KIA than during the whole previous month. Could have been worse if not for the heroic efforts of medevac crews, meicas of all levels, and commanders in the filed who immediately authorized return fire with "in kind" artillery and mortar batteries. Very strange escalation on the Russian part especially since the newly elected President was (and perhaps still is) ready for de facto one sided concessions.

Ukrainian Marines testing new parachutes. Obviously not a Soviet vintage, but they don't look a mil-spec to me either. However, I'm a dilettante in this matter.

An impromptu memorial in hnor of 49 paratroopers and arimen who were killed when a Ukrainian IL-76 cargo aircraft was brought down by Russian forces on approach to Luhansk airport on June 14th, 2014.

i don"t understand why they still training with this wepon as an AA gun, iti obsolete
ZPU-23 is now just an infantry weapon, just like other 14,5 mm weapons

Somewhat effective again low-flying UAVs, plus, you know, most of the guidelines haven't been updated since the Cold War.

Sailor Oleksandr Lyahsok forever 24. 137th Marines Battalion 35th Marines Brigade. Oleksandr was killed on June 19th during shelling of Ukrainian positions near the village of Novotroicke.

Retired General David Petraeus and the troops from the 93rd Infantry Brigade. No info in what capacity General Petraeus is in Ukraine and who gave him clearance to go to the "hottest" spots on the map, Avdiivja Industrial Zone, and Donetsk Airport.
