Warfare HAMAS attack on Israel, Oct 2023 & Iran’s Proxies.

We really don't like the Netanyahu he has become today, but you have to admit, he played on Trump's ego like a fiddler on a rooftop.
The current occupant of the White House is a narcissistic, semi(?) demented, who is only interested in being talked about, while lining his pockets and making (at least) six hundred million dollars for himself and his family by running the presidential cryptocurrency scam and manipulating stock market prices.
He's the one who blackmailed Ukraine for its mineral wealth, wanted to invade Greenland, wanted Canada for himself, etc... hello Gaza beach project, remember?
The Israeli officials were racing against time because D's attention was like a goldfish. Remember back, his loud statements and his fluctuations on a daily basis or so,
Israeli governments have had to deal with many idiot politicians around the world over the decades, they have experience.
But to get a fundamentally cowardly, greedy jerk to act against Iran beyond the level of decades of lip-service, essentially sending the Western bloc pushing for negotiations that were going nowhere again to hell, in just one week... well, that was a masterstroke.

Yeah, his decision making process is basically this:
- Do it bro,
- Maybe I will
- Come on do it bro
- Maybe I will do it in two weeks
- Bro come on,
- Ok, fine

And then his ego gets stroked by the bro:
- Bro, you got the best bombs, no one can do it but you!
- Yeah I do have pretty good bombs
- Bro

Bibi really played him like a fiddle.

According to Janes GBU-57 can penetrate up to 60 m of earth or 18 m or concrete. How the hell it will do anything to underground facility built into a mountain is beyond me.

Iran blowing up appartments, it didn't break German or British morale. So less of a great plan with the Isrealis.
The tough guy. Saddam's regime played that hand.

Nobody played anybody, it's all much more prosaic.
Trump has been saying for ages that Iran can't have nukes.
Bibi has been saying for ages that Iran can't have nukes.
Now you have perfect star alignment:
1. Both men in power (second Trump term, so little F***s in general).
2. All potential vectors of retaliation either severely compromised or completely neutralized - Hezbollah (by the far the biggest one), Syria, Houthis and Iraq militias.
3. Israel took on itself the initial and the harshest brunt of Iranian retaliation, whilst neutralizing it's air defenses and paving the way for Americans. Thus leaving to Americans the relatively easy part of the job - minimal risk, minimal involvement, minimal political fallout.
That is all.

okay, looking back at Wallis' bombs.
If they did drop six in a row on Fordow, the first one would make a hole and loosen the rock, the next one would go here, then the next one....
or shockwaves could have been like armor-piercing HESH ammo - tearing chunks off the top of the building and destroying the inside, then the last bombs would have exploded inside.

Is six enough?

That's the usual "intellectual power move" Trump-haters come with.
Trump has an IQ of a chimp, he does everything for his own personal gain, it is all about his ego, everybody is playing him like a fiddle, etc...

Basic toddler playground arguments.

And as an aside regarding the MOP, people should keep in mind the majority of data regarding that type of munition is still classified. What is "made public" is nothing but estimates and guesses made of the little elements that were revealed about the weapon.

As you said, Israel did most of the work, destroying AD, freeing airspace, neutralizing the entire chain of command (to the point the life expectancy of any new appointee being being less than a week), destroying ammunition depots and other military logistic infrastructures, retaliating against launchers and launch sites.

The US only intervened with intelligence, ISR and cie. Participated in intercepting missiles and culminated in dropping MOPs on Fordo. That last element being the only thing Israel wasn't able to do due to their own limitations.

Basically the best involvement in another countries foreign policies. But TDS gotta TDS.

As a Turk, I’m watching the Iran-Israel war unfold with concern, of course… and a bit of popcorn. 🍿

It’s hard to ignore how this conflict, while tragic, is quietly shifting the regional balance in Türkiye’s favor. Iran’s nuclear threat a long standing security concern is being dismantled in real time. At the same time, two major players in the Middle East are draining each other’s strength, militarily, financially and politically.

Meanwhile, the Turkic population in South Azerbaijan (20+ million )is no longer just a demographic detail. With Iran weakened and distracted, the long-standing cultural and ethnic ties between Türkiye and the South Azerbaijanis may start evolving into something more tangible even political.

Strategically, Turks expelled Iran & Russia from Syria. Defeated Armenians. Now Pappy Sam destroyed İran's nuke capabilities. The only real concern for Ankara is the potential refugee wave if Iran collapses further. Aside from that, this war, for better or worse, is redrawing the map and Türkiye might be one of the few powers to come out stronger without firing a shot.

The Gulf states as well were eagerly awating this moment.

Interesting that Iran was warned upfront and told that this a one shot operation leaving Iran and Israel to discuss.

The regime change is off the table and that is great news.

**Just a reminder of how we got here**
