It won't happen, Scholz is too much of a coward for that, but an interesting news snippet nevertheless: The minority speaker for defence of Germany's parliament (which could most readily be described as the German shadow defence minister), Florian Hahn, has urged the German Chancellor to offer Israel the permanent deployment of German air defence assets to help defend the country from further Iranian attacks. Hahn suggested that Germany should permanently station Typhoons on an Israeli air base if Tel Aviv requests as much. (Source, in German)

Fvck yeah, take them, so they will move to France, where they stab somebody again and give Le Pen another a couple of percent. RuZZia would be happy.

The past year Israeli F-35s penetrated Iranian airspace and hit a target, I can't remember what the target was but it was an important strike. Iranians never even knew they were inside their airspace. Not surprising really due to the mountains and terrain. It would be a piece of cake for the B-1 to hug the ground to target and out. I always loved how the RAF took out all the airfields in Iraq on opening night and made re strikes after assessment. Takes some real nerve to go straight down a runway at 500 feet and drop large munitions behind you.

US officials believe Israel unlikely to strike Iran directly, will focus on proxies instead – NBC​

The US believes that Israel’s response to Iran’s unprecedented attack early on Sunday morning is likely to be limited, and may focus on striking key targets outside of Iran, four US officials tell NBC.

Noting that the US’s assessment is based on conversations with Israeli officials prior to the attack and that Israel’s approach may since have shifted, the officials say that the lack of serious damage caused by Tehran may lead Jerusalem to seek a less aggressive response.

Instead of directly striking Iran in response — which Israel’s allies have warned runs the risk of sending the region spiraling into an all-out war — the officials tell NBC that Israel may strike Iran’s proxies, such as its militias in Syria or the Hezbollah terror group in Lebanon.

The report adds that the US expects Israel to provide updates regarding the decisions it makes, but does not intend to take part in any retaliatory reaction.

An unsourced report by Channel 12 on Monday claimed that Israel’s war cabinet decided to hit back “clearly and forcefully” against Iran with a response designed to send the message that Israel “will not allow an attack of that magnitude against it to pass without a reaction.”

However, the Channel 12 report added that Israel does not want its response to spark a regional war, or to shatter the coalition that helped it defend against Iran’s attack. It noted also that Israel intends to coordinate its action with the US.

Regarding the National Rally of Le Pen and Bardella, they walk on eggs regarding Russland since they were critical of sending aids to Ukraine as vitam all while sort of condemning the Russian aggression.

It’s a two edged sword for the party with the European election coming up in June and they’re very much favorite to win way ahead of Macron and his “I change my mind about Israel or Ukraine at my own whim” lackeys.

Truth be told, if the French presidential election was this year, Le Pen could win but a lot can happen before 2027 and the next one.
