and why shouldnt he?
he obviously has the capabilities to get people out, with all his companies infrastructure and people on the ground.
should he do it for free?
- airplanes have to be fueled
- airspaces have to be paid for right?
- maintenance personell
- his contractors on the ground etc etc etc

considering all of that and a whole lot more, 6,5 grand for a ticket out of that hellhole seems a fair trade to me
I sure as hell would be happy to pay that to get out.

While I have zero sympathy for the Taliban, right now they have about 1/100 the capacity of the US Army in Baghdad circa May, 2003.

And we all know how well that worked out.

Perhaps turn yourself down from your usual 12 to maybe a 4 If you’re not actually adding any actual value to the conversation beyond just amplifying your well known beliefs.
Flagg, I'm not sure how that post prompted your response. I don't know why that's a 12 (on what scale) and should be a 4, nor why you feel it adds no actual value.

Other than that, have a good day.

Clashes between Taliban and IS reported in Dara-i-Noor district, Nangarhar province.
In addition to Nangarhar, the Taliban are now conducting an operation against IS in the province of Kunar.
The definition of a "Target rich environment".
Maybe ISIS will be the unifying factor between the Taliban and the Northern Alliance.
More like a balancing factor.

Some news articles have reported an Italian C-130 suffering small arms fire on take off from Kabul, but it's false.

I have to admit that my feelings on this are complex and conflicted. My first reaction was that this was inappropriate.

But the more I thought about it the more I felt it to be a courageous stand, because this officer knows he’s going to get hit on this. He knows he is going to need to throw his rank on the table in the same way he felt Milley should have stood up and done.

There is rot in the upper ranks of the military. Much more concern about career and what Board positions they get after retirement than concern for the troops.

There are great Flag officers, but they are overshadowed by corrupt woke fools like Milley and SecDef Austin.

This Marine officer pretty much knowingly ended his career to make this point. I hope it goes viral. He understands sacrifice. God bless him.

why, how much should they have paid per passenger?
Prince's security company Academi is starting jet pilots at $200K/yr starting salary. It's crossed my mind a few times. He's flying smaller aircraft into KBL so @ $6.5K per person I figure he's most likely breaking even. As a billionaire maybe he should do it for free for the good pr but he's a business man.
