**NB, just for information purposes, this sailor is a Leading Seaman, rank is denoted by the fouled anchor on the sleeve unlike the Army or Air Force in which stripes denote rank, the stripes are issued 1 for every 4 years completed service being for long service and good conduct or as we used to say, 4 years of undetected crime ;)
In the RAN and other navies modelled after the Royal Navy, 3 stripes are the maximum you will get issued so a sailor with 3 stripes has a minimum 12 years service and an unknown number of completed years (unless they tell you!)
This sailor's medals are all her own, Australia doesn't issue medals to units other than citations which are worn on the right breast, all medals worn on the left are those actually issued to the service person**
