On November 2019, the US navy seized a shipment of Iranian weapons destined for the Houthi forces in Yemen. Last week, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said at a press briefing that US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin approved some additional measures to strengthen the protection of US troops in Afghanistan against the background of their withdrawal from this country. In particular, we are talking about the fact that the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier of the US Navy Dwight D. Eisenhower remains in the area of operational responsibility of the Central Command, which primarily includes the Middle East, Central Asia, and some regions of South Asia.
